1. Welcome to the forums
2. I believe the battle pack (or whatever they call it) is already updated to 2.01, hence no need to patch it. After installation, launch the game and check for the version on the menu screen (ver no is displayed on at a corner, RHS top I think). If it displays 2.01, no need to patch and proceed with the game. Else, get the patch at the official site and run it.

just make sure you get patched or all your kings die at 56. kinda annoying and tons of games ending due to lack of virility.
