Interesting situation concerning a crusade. Italian launch crusade against HRE heading for Swabia from Corsica. When crusade reaches Tuscany, I land an army in Corsica and torch the chapter house and take over the province. Next turn crusade disappears as crusade BUT remains as a regular Italian army? I don't understand...I thought if the chapter house that launches the crusade is destroyed the crusade fails, NOT turn into regular army for faction that launched the crusade.
I had to fight a regular Italian army in Venice consisting of crusader units...most interesting battle I had to fight against the Italians so far.
