I am about to undertake a monumental project. I am going to write an Opera...in Italian I need to know if there are any Italian members, who are in Italy, and who have MSN perhaps, if they'd like to help me do a correct translation of an opera into Italian. If you are in Italy and have MSN, then please post here and I'll add you to my list: THIS IS NOT A FUND ASKING FOR MONEY

This is just a plea for help.

    Thank you all

Plus I need a plot for my opera, so give me some ideas here

When I'm finished I can probably record it on my midi keyboard and maybe send it to some of you who are interested..?

I posted a topic a week ago asking where the italians are. There are a few that people named withing that topic so start there.

No actual help I can give ya, sorry.

Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.

I can't help with the Italian translation - Hell, I can't help with any translation - but I'd love to have a look at your score / hear your MIDI files when you're done.

The first opera I listened to in one sitting was Britten's Peter Grimes. Quite simply, I was blown away.

I only know some Italian, but my one friend took it since 3rd grade (he, like me, is going into 9th) so if you send it to me I can forward it to him and maybe he can help.
What opera is it, I have a translation of Riggoletto somewhere, it's missing a little but is pretty much full.

Lemme have a look at it. I'll give it to me paisano and he'll try to translate it for you.

It's not any pre-made opera, it's one I'm composing. Not too sure what the title will be yet, but I know it's gonna be all in Italian

I see how it is. I live in America, but I'm Italian. My papa and grandmother are Roma.
