    Thumbs up

I want to know if still there is a lot of people that play to MTW.

Me I still play to MTW, because this is the period that I like and not only the game or the graphic engine. Rome Total War is a period that I like less.

    What do you think

I still play, but not as much as I used to. I have become readdicted to Everquest... ...and also play some Thief: Deadly Shadows, but I still manage to find time to play a campaign now and then.

Still playing the game since I only purchased it last February and haven't had that much time yet to play it (only completed SP campaigns with 2 different factions until now), so there's still plenty of gaming fun left.

I am also not _that_ eager on a Rome total war (I am sure an Egypt TW mod will more fun , just for the time frame), but hey, the game engine will be improved and with that many other things so in the end I'll buy it anyway (some day).

I still play MTW - the era is what matters to me. I'm bored of Rome, Japan, etc. They're all I ever seem to see. The Medieval period is much more interesting to me. Looking forward to the day when someone makes a Medieval mod for the R:TW engine though.

^ Bah, I cant stand the medieval period.

I only still play it as HTW. I love that period and mod. And I still play Shogun. I love far eastern warfare. Be it Shang China, 3 Kingdoms or the Sengoku Jidai I'll never get bored.

I've got no problem with far eastern warfare, I just feel it's been overdone, what with the multitude of Three Kingdoms style games, Shogun: Total War, the overhyping of the Samurai, etc, it gets tedious. The Medieval period until recently has been vastly overlooked.

Another annoyance is the deification of the samurai - people believe Samurai to be the ultimate fighting man, and when asked who would win in a fight between a Medieval knight and a Japanese samurai, instantly say Samurai. The myth that the Knight was a crude and primative fighter is one that irks me greatly.
    Hmm, [/rant]. Charged off-topic there, I apologise

Sorry m8, but I do not know of this myth that the Knight was a crude and primitive fighter.... In fact all my life I've heard otherwise...

The previews of RTW were actually the reason why I finally picked up MTW+VI. Had meant to do that much sooner, but never got around to it. Anyway, the Roman epoch fascintates me more than the medieval era, but I badly need to improve my skill at this type of game, so MTW is currently my favourite title. :)

MTW kinda sux cause there's been a long time since it came out. I am playing Hellenic Total War though. Thats' da sh*t. It really doesn't get any better then watchin a couple thousand Greeks stab and slash eachother on a monitor.

That's like saying computers suck because it's a while since they came out.

I play STW:MI and MTW didn't get the VI add on... was waiting till the patch came out and by that point no VI left in stores.

I have a total of 5 hours per week of computer playing time... techically including moderating this forum... I can moderate once I have done things like the laundry and house chores... thanks Wasabi

I am at the moment playing more Neverwinter Nights... playing a Paladin soon to be Champion of Torm... having fun but I wish at times I could just Alt-T (or is that Ctrl-T) and speed up the game... just too slow at times having to jog literally from place to place... hey I have an idea give the knights a freaking horse

I just got medieaval total war but I probably wont stop playing.I got it because Rome Total war is coming out and I love the romans as well as the classical greeks (Homer is currntly my fav author) so I decide to get MTW so that i know how to TW before rtw comes out. But playing mtw made me switch my favorite game series (use to be aoe but i lost my faith in it when aom came out). And just because a game is old doest mean we should stop playing for example star craft is still the most played strategy game on the net and at least six million times better then warcraft III (which i consider part of the same series) And Age II is better then AoM. So just because something is old it doesnt mean it's bad, like wine it improves with age.

Yea, I'm still playing. That game won't end for me soon. Been playing almost 2 years now and there is still sooo much to achieve...

But I suspect that RTW can take over my time when it comes out.
