I think it is gonna be a HUGE hit
I think it is gonna be a HUGE hit
Of course it's going to be a hit![]()
I wonder how easy it will be to mod?
They say that it will be about as easy to mod as mtw, that is pretty easy.
I think we need more hype for the game, you know, if no one has ever heard of it, guess if they're gonna buy it?
Although there are always disappointments when it comes to hype. But majority should be pleased, taking into account the class of TW series.
Also more money- better sequels.
For Home, Religion and Fatherland.
I will wait to see the revues here before I buy... and it may mean I don't buy it at all.
I did not end up buying VI because the lack of speed in patching the 56 year death of Kings.
The TW series is excellent.
The customer service (in the form of patches) is sub par and takes the gloss of what shoud have been a five star product.
It probably depends a bit on the required system specs. I don't mean the minimum ones, but those needed for a good gaming experience. Like most everyone, I adore the screenshots, but at the same time I wonder a little about the horsepower you need for this quality. Strategy gamers seem to usually have weaker machines than, say, shooter fans.
Personally, my box is a two years old P4/2.6/512 with a GF4-Ti4400/128, which I don't plan on replacing before end of next year. I'd not mind upgrading the RAM to 1GB, but that's it.
Other than that, I believe that RTW has the potential to become a sweeping success.
I remember reading somewhere, that more diplomatic interaction with the AI would be featured, but sadly I don't remember where it said that. Anyway, that's what I'm looking forward to the most. That, and hopefully the screaming germanic hordes![]()
With this much buzz around it,how can it not be a huge success.Unless it has more things involve in it,than is really needed.Thats my biggest fear,that the game has so much stuff,that its not fun to play.I hope not though.
Maybe we should start planing a community mod and reseach all the stuff now so that we can apply it to ROME TW when it comes.
While MTW was really STW only in Europe with lots more units and a few new features, RTW looks like it is going to be pretty much a completely new game from what I have seen at industry shows and events. While the strategic battle angle will be similar only with far improved graphics and a more intuitive interface, the campaign feature is going to be very different. There won't be definately defined 'provinces' any more for one thing. This should make more fluid frontiers. Whether this is your preference will just remain to be seen. The Roman campaign looks like it will be much more event driven than the laissez-faire style of the current campaign game.
From what I've seen: it's not going to Total War 2 (or 3)
Cowardice is to run from the fear;
Bravery is not to never feel the fear.
Bravery is to be terrified as hell;
But to hold the line anyway.
It's going to be as big as the apocolypse... only without the burning, painful part.![]()
Everyone in the entire world has a photographic memory... but only a select few have film.
Yeah, it's gonna be huge. Just hope my PC can handle it though![]()
No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards dying for their country.
The draft is white people sending black people to fight yellow people to protect the country they stole from red people.
