    Hi,

There are 2 places available in Nigel's Bandits and Mercenaries game in the Jousting Fields (MP Forum) - us rebel scum could do with some more compatriots.

You generally need to play one or two battles a month, and you can engage in some roleplay while you're at it if you like - check it out.

I saw that but since I am only a junior member I was unable to post my desire to join. Once I came into the main hall here I started reading other posts and forgot to post about that

So yes, I would like to join.

    Hi ConstableBrew,

glad you are interested. We really could do with another bandit.

Are you sure you cannot reply to the thread ?
I had thought that Junior Patrons could reply to existing threats in the Jousting Filed, just not create their own threads. Try it out.

But I may also be worng. I that case I could talk to Tosa and see what I can do to speed things up.

Hail there good bandits, a question if you please -

Do most MPers decide battles using the auto-compute method? Or do you play each battle for real?

And do you email turns back and forth or have to both be simulteneous logged onto one Master server, even for strategy moves?

Seems like it would be hard to work the scheduling of an MP game if it takes being online at the same time and esp. if all battles are played out in full.

    Thanks

This is not a multiplayer campaign in that respect.

This is a new version of setting up a tournament really. Each player starts with a small treasury (3500 florins) to buy an army at current mulitplayer prices. They have to pay a monthly upkeep fee for these teroops, which is the sp upkeep cost (plus 20% for each valour point).

Nigel sets out missions, where ususally goods are being transpored from one side of the map to the other by peasents or similar, and mercenaries get offered a fee to protect the goods, plus a bonus for being succesfull, while bandits try and capture or kill the peasents transporting the goods for the money they are worth.

It is a series of battles with particular armies and such, and other rules and guidlines tat workes very well, coem read the thread if you are interested.
I was trying to find some help in the ancient military journals of General Tacticus, who's intelligent campaigning had been so successful that he'd lent his very name to the detailed prosecution of martial endeavour, and had actually found a section headed "What To Do If One Army Occupies A Well-Fortified And Superior Ground And The Other Does Not", but since the first sentence read "Endeavour to be the one inside" I'd rather lost heart.

Go read the thread in the multiplayer forums, the jousting field, titled 'bandits and mercenaries'

The first two posts lay it out pretty well, but there is alot of reading if you want to really get to know it.

Aye, it is now a very long thread, but preading page 1 should explain most of it. You can read the other posts at your leasure, you can just ask anyone to tell you the story so far, or just find it out by yourself - is should be easy enough.

But we are always happy to answer questions.
