    Hello, All:

Will R:TW be implementing the Starforce copy protection system?
There seems to be alot of questions being raised by people about this program.
Apparently, there is some question as to it causing:

    -problems with games themselves.

-installation of "hidden" device drivers on your system; there was no prior mention of this before installation of game.

-hardware issues,eg. problems with some USB devices.

    -potential system damage/harm.

Here are a couple of links that illustrate this:

    Thankyou, Gaius.

Am I to assume that no one knows what copy protection system will be used on R:TW?
I realize that Devs., may be reluctant to divulge this info before the first few "critical" weeks after release period is over.
Though, if they think that this will somehow stop/slowdown people who illegally copy/distribute software, then they are deluding themselves.
I buy all my software LEGALLY; I only asked this question, so I could make an informed decision if/when I purchase R:TW.
If Starforce (Starfarce) is used, I will not purchase it.

    Thankyou, Gaius.

I doubt that RTW will use this software as it recently caused upsets in Britain were people returned Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow to shops by the cartload because it used this technology.
They claim it is being used to stop piracy when what it does is ENCOURAGE it.It will make more people download games online and get cracks for them rather than be told what software they can or cannot use on their pc.
One irate customer complained that it wouldnt load because he had copying software on his pc which id entirely LEGAL and most of us have CD/DVD re-writers these days anyway which are also entirely legal. :
