Hi All!!
*Dusts off years of hibernation*
Well finally I decided to post after years of just watching and reading.
And finally might I add my appreciation of Rome Total War to be the next instalment.
I might add, Im a little bit disapointed only 3 roman "factions" will be representative, and these factions are all patrician....
What ever happened to playing a good old homae novae? Id seriously love to play as good old Marius..

heh, I actually would have liked to see more non-roman factions.
Come to think of it, I would also like some roman-like factions as well, as long as they are something more than completely identical to the already existing ones, except in clothes of a different color.
Speaking of which, is there gonna be any difference between the three houses in terms of units ?
I don't remember anything about it, and while a different starting position makes for _some_ variation, it would be worse than MTW, where at least playing yet another catholic faction meant not only a different position but also quite a bit of different troops (think of all the "unique" units: hobbies, jinettes, swabian swordsmen, italian light infantry, longbowmen and billmen, vikings, szekely...).
Therapy helps, but screaming obscenities is cheaper.
the three roman factions will have different buildings, also if region specific units are in, some factions might get these units earlier than other. I'm also thinking each faction also gets to fight a different opposing faction.
