    What the hell is this?!?

No, we haven't seen this unit before. At least it didn't look like this the last time we saw it. Ok, I AM nitpicking but since when do Macedonian horsemen wear Gallic helmets with transverse crests? Where is this horsemen's Boeotian, Thracian or Pilos style helmet? We've already seen Hellenic cavalry units with the proper Boeotian style helmet. The Macedonian Companion Cavalry has a Boetian helmet (albeit with those goofy feathers) and in that Rome Total War video where the Britons attack a Seleucid army of Silver Shield legionaries you can plainly see the latter's cavalrymen clearly wearing 'feather free' Boeotian helmets.

I am not one of the 'historically-accurate-or-bust-crowd' here at the Org but I can't help but wince when I look at this unit. The biggest problem with this unit is that it looks Roman! If you showed me this unit without my having prior knowledge of its faction or its faction's colors I would not hesitate to say it was an odd type of Roman cavalryman, probably from the Republican era.

You know it's not as if CA didn't have the proper helmet and head models on hand to do it justice, there are numerous units in the game which have Boeotian, Thracian or Pilos style helmets.

Put this unit under "Salvagable, but needs modding". Seriously, it's kinda... weird. I'm pretty sure that they don't use muscled cuirasses often since it's uncomfortable on horse, or that's what Osprey says. Again, they should have the kontos in two hands... is it really that hard to make them use to hands?

Don't understand the inclusion of the companions, to be honest...they're outside the timeframe I assume? I was under the impression they had "evolved" with the rest of the units into something heavy and more cumbersome.
Yes, the Macedonian cavalry does look quite wierd...the addition of a nice linen curiass, proper spear-holding (same for all the greek infantry as well, it seems) and a proper helmet and it'll be fine...

I can kind of understand companions. Kind of like a cermonial unit trying to reach back to your past days of glory. It at least makes more sense than this unit.

Why does this unit still use a shabraque instead of a saddle. The Greeks and the Macedonians in particular had adopted the Persian saddle by this time.
