Thumbs up Battlefield Britain bbc game

Mildly good fun, flash turn-based game hold off a Roman attack on a fort as the first level, later is napoleon and such. Easily worth a few hours on the Roman level, keep you busy another night until the demo...

    Enjoy.

Thanks for the link! This is helping me pass the time alright, though I am probably having more difficulty with it than I should.

*I think they may have messed up and switched the attack ranges for the war band and chariots?

What if it is actualy you who are crazy, and I am realy not crazy?... No, you're right... I am crazy.

    lol

Yes they have been a little creative with the unit properties. I think they just want you to have a traditional 'strike' unit with high attack (& movement), low defense (& range), plus the more flexible warband.. though it really ought to have been the other way around.

    Good fun anyway.

    A good programme but 10,000 against 230,000!!!!

    800 deaths to 80,000!!!!!

    That is load of rubbish

Yes they were a little misleading on that - I noted that they always said 'some reports put it at 200k' or 'the romans recorded it as 800 deaths' etc etc.. may be technically true but definitely gives the wrong impression to a casual viewer.

It was a bit of fun, though nothing really new apart from seeing the wedge formation in action (any comments on the accuracy of how they portrayed it, in fact?)
