Read the unit guide...very helpful, however what is the scale for the numbers. I understand, if reading correctly, that the lower the number the weaker the trait, however, what is the scale i.e. 1(lowest)-5(highest), Or is the scale wider?

    1. Welcome to the forums

    2. What scale are you talking about? By unit guide I take it to be FBE's unit guide, and that you are talking about the melee stats? There is a cap for the stats at 20? (For attack it can include the charge).

    3. A better clarification of your post would help us understand what you are asking about.

There isn't really a highest limit that I've seen because on the battlefield the score is effected by valour and other factors (like weapon/armour upgrades). For very good units the attack value has been seen to reach about 50 (Jedi generals) and the defence has come close to.

The scale does not stop at 0 either, -1 is common and even lower than that, again the scale doesn't seem to have a limit as moral is often seen to hit -16 and lower, though at this level the unit is bound to be routing.

To see the numbers on the battlefield press F1. Most of the units start with numbers between -5 and 15, as you can see in froggy's excelent guide, but on the battlefield these numbers can be dramatically changed.
I was trying to find some help in the ancient military journals of General Tacticus, who's intelligent campaigning had been so successful that he'd lent his very name to the detailed prosecution of martial endeavour, and had actually found a section headed "What To Do If One Army Occupies A Well-Fortified And Superior Ground And The Other Does Not", but since the first sentence read "Endeavour to be the one inside" I'd rather lost heart.
