Mods?

I assume someone here has played the Shogun mod for MYW. How is it? And has anyone considered making a mod covering campaigns of the Monguls? The Japanese invasion of Korea? Or redoing STW with a larger map, breaking down the provinces with subprovinces/districts, detailed terrain, perhaps monthly turns?
Just wondering. What if instead of winning one battle to take a province you had to storm several fortesses and could use maneuver and geography to gain an upper hand. What about monastic wars......there is still much that can be done.

I always dreamed that would happen someday, and the version would be made by CA themselves. But I think with the RTW engine the chances for a mod like this are greater.

Sure would hope to see STW2 done up like RTW. Would be stunning to see them do Mt. Fuji as part of a Rome Total War type map.
