Introduction and questions

I've got Winamp 2.91 set as my default mp3 player. I've set WMP as my default wav player and also tried converting the wav files that thread suggests to mp3 then back again. It didn't work.

The crashes don't occur when I get a harvest message, they've only happened directly after the throne room doors slide open and when the heir coming of age window pops up.

I think I forgot to mention I'm running Windows XP home.

Yeah the game is not too compatible to XP, you might wanna search for an update of some sort.

I run WinXP Pro fine. in general, home sucks.

Would that be an XP update or a Shogun update? I've got the latest patch out for Shogun at the moment

If you got the latest patch, the there should be no problem, I run Shogun on XP fine, but it also might be your graphics card.

This might be obvious, if so sorry, but XP home will run OK if you run the game under the designated admin account (whatever it is when you specify it during the install as the administrator account is disabled in XP home). If you run it under one of the additional accounts there might be a permissions issue. It's easier with XP Pro because you can designate permissions, XP home is significantly more of a pain in this respect.
