I've seen this clip before, it's cool but quite old. Although I don't recall hearing the Beastie Boys playing over the original clip... ~:p
For my money the real king of the jungle is the Bengal Tiger. There was a documentary made on this two man team, an American and a Brit, who worked together to get the funds for a Bengal Tiger preserve... in Africa! They bought a massive tract of land, fenced it off, and trained two Bengal Tigers (brother and sister) completely unfamiliar with what it means to be a wild tiger, to stalk and hunt in a smaller compound before tagging them with radio transmitters and letting them loose on the preserve. The tigers' 'final exam' was a herd of antelope or some such fleet footed animal. I have never seen lions do the kind of killing these tigers did. I have also never seen lions leap and move like these tigers did; leaping several feet and catching antelopes in mid air as they attempted to jump over a river bed. The carnage was positively jaw dropping, and unlike lions the female tiger was virtually on par with the male in terms of speed and strength.
The Lion may be the king of the jungle but the Bengal Tiger is the Lord-Emperor-King-of-Kings!
