I think this video is from a documentary i saw some years ago. After a number of skirmishes the male lion targeted and killed the Hyena Matriarch (yep the females rule in Hyena world) and then the second Hyena in comand (the Matriarch's daugther) effectively bringing chaos to the pack. It goes to show that male lions are not good just for sleeping and having sex all day...
I think i saw the same show. It could be why the male lion is so big and doesn't hunt.
