    Default RTW expansion

I cannot find the thread where the RTW expansion was being discussed.I disagree that the expansion will be the invasion of the Huns or Goths however as that was outside the time-frame of this game and it would mean a fairly large over-haul of the units.
I personnally think it will be the Italian revolt in 91bc and ending in 89bc when most of Italy rose up against Rome. This was primarily led by the Samnites who were the last people in Italy to contest with the Romans. It also covers the time-frame of Marius,Pompey,Sulla and the invasion of Greece by Mithridates. This whole affair was directly responsible for the beginning of the downfall of the Republic.

I think they'll be two. Firstly, one set before the timeline (think VI) called the 'Conquests of Alexander', with a new and extended map (stretching to India) and of course many new factions and units. Then, the 'Fall of Rome' expansion, with the Huns, Goths and all other opponents of Rome spanning to the eventual fall of the Western Empire. No extensions to the map but plenty of new units and factions.

yeah the death of Livius Drusus who was the Italians' biggest Roman supporter on the eve of the senate giving rights to the Italians marks the beginning of the collapse of the Republic

I look forward to playing as the Goths. I hope they're in the original release.

I think that CA is also considering to remake MTW and STW with the new style campaign map (point to point moving) and high detailed battle modes from RTW
