Wonder if Rome will have the cut scenes for assassinations?
I loved the scenes in Shogun and they were lacking in Medieval.
I miss those.....the assassin with the spear shooting cart. That was great!
So, anybody know??

My guess is no - since the 16 minute DVD shows an assasination and it happens right on the Strat. map. I think the cut scenes - while very cool - are also very expensive. Although I do think you get a Senate cut-scene as I have seen a snippit of that. It probably pops up when you are playing a Roman faction and the Senate gets sick of your shenanigans!

My fav cut-scene was when the Ninja missed the Geisha and got a serrated fan in the back of the head for his trouble.

all cutscenes, no matter how cool, become boring after seeing them for a few hundred times (or much less, most of the time).
It beats the crap out of me why most games don't make this an _optional_ feature, i.e. you can disable/enable them at will. I would see that as mandatory...
and you're right, there probably aren't any cutscenes for assassination at least, but maybe we'll get others; i mean, it wouldn't be exactly fair that the romans get cut scenes (senate), but the others don't just because they don't have a senate

If I recall there are some cut scenes but I believe they signal historic events, like the Marius Reforms.

Good point USMCNJ, I would like to at least see cutscenes come back for the end of the game instead of a picture

agree, and also agree that cutscenes are just plain annoying after about the 5 time of viewing.

Shogun had an option to disable cutscenes. It was in the Options menu.

The Mongal General throughing his spear through the ninja was the best.

I hope they have cut scenes for thigns that happen once or twice in a campaign like the Marius reforms or the elimination of a faction (one that you destroy) or a Civil war perhaps. Mainly just things that don't happen a lot like assasinations or a king dying. One for the beginning and end of each of the faction's campaigns would be very nice.

OK I'm done with my rant. I had thought that I seen em all because they were always entertaining and the main reason I'd try to assassinate a daimyo with an assassin was the fact that it took forever to get to the cut scene of a successful attamept. I believ it took me 3 games to do this because it was near impossible to kill a daimyo with just an assassin
