"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

Although she no doubt inspired some of France to fight, i think it undermines the hard work of others, Gilles De Rais, Jean Count of Dunois for example who fought much more than Joan did and i feel sorry for her being burnt but the way people talk about her totally turning the tide against the english is insane.

Even by the time of the siege of Orleans, the engish lines couldn't surround the whole of orleans and the morale was very low after the Earl of sailsbury being killed. Normandy was being over taxed and was in near rebellion reinforcements were always trickling through to Orleans and in actual fact the defenders considerable outnumbered the besiegers and not to mention the lacklustre allies in the Burgundians who left leaving huge gaps in the siege lines.
