Thread: Does anyone know where to preorder Rome:TW? (United States)
Nerouin 05:14 08-19-2004
I have checked EBGames.com, and their listed price is around $50 with a bunch of extras, I believe.

However, on Amazon.co.uk, the price listed is 25 quid, I believe this is about $40.

I may be wrong on the conversion rate there- but if I am not, does anyone know where I can find a U.S. preorder at around that $40 rate? Thanks so much!

Have not shopped around but I would expect to pay about fifty dollars for it.

Be careful about BestBuy.

I have heard some complaints about some of their branches losing pre-orders.

Twice I've had Best Buy drop the ball on a pre-order, and I'll never use them again. They got the games in three weeks after everyone else did, nice job guys.

"Software Etc" has been superb getting pre-orders on time in the store, try them out if you're near one -- and they have decent prices, $45 for RTW with the teaser DVD.

Oh freakin NO!!!

I gave Best Buy $10.00 on a pre-order deal. If they are delayed by more than a couple of days I WILL go elsewhere.

Well, one good thing about buying a game at Best Buy when it first comes out is that they will price match any advertised price for thirty days from the time of purchase, plus give you 10% of the difference between what you paid and the competitors advertised price. Usually a game like RTW will be advertised with some decent sale price a couple weeks after release; so a trip back to Best Buy gets you the difference +10%.

Then again, if you're not on as tight a budget as I am (or can't be arsed to check the Sunday ads) it might not matter to you.
