Making Battle Maps

I have been able to make my own battle map however i do not know how to set deployment zones as when i start my units can not be deployed but are in a set postion i have tried putting deployment flags however i just can not make deployment zones can someone please help.

No such thing as deployment zones unless u make it into a historical battle, I think the defenders start in the North and the attackers in the South, but Im not sure.

And how do you make an historical battle ? I found a link that should have explained me how to do, but it was a dead link
