How do I search in Sword Dojo

Hi to all,

I need to look for something before I start a new thread. I've gone and read the forums FAQ and it says that there should be a 'Search' link somewhere at the top of the page but warns that it's not necessarily available in all of the sub-forums.

I can't see a search link on the main page for Sword Dojo so, if there's a 'global' forum search option, whereabouts is it? I'd appreciate a point in the right direction.

I've got a search link up near the top right now..uhh...my only guess is that as a Senior Patron, you can't search yet. Or something.

Seems like an odd thing to stop people using.

I'm just seeing basic thread options at the moment, so thanks for confirming that I'm missing a function.

I'll just go ahead and post what I was going to ask and hope I'm not digging up an old chesnut.

There's a lot of interesting stuff in this forum which I've found while browsing and I've spent a scandalous amount of time absorbed in various threads and not getting down to asking about what I wanted to get sorted out.

Still high on the to do list: search. It's both huge to make and use and puts quite some stress on the server. So we need a search that makes both our users and our host happy.

Ok, understood. I only recently worked out how to get more than the previous 2 weeks' postings to display, so I now appreciate the enormity of the message base. Might be better not to bother adding that function?

I went and posted about my problem anyway. It occurred to me that if this particular problem was first fixed over two years ago, that fix might still not apply to my vid card, which is (relatively) new, so it was worth asking again.

I would still find a general search function handy though. I've done a number of postings in various threads but without paying to much attention to the thread titles, so I can't find them again. doh!

I don't know when/why this happened but the board now shows me as 'Member' and I can now see the Search button in the blue bar at the top of the thread listings.

If that was down to you, then thanks.
