    Default How to trade?

How does trade work. I never seem to get it working. I have a port and tradign post in a province with trading materials. This is linked by a ship in each sea province to an allied nations province with a port and trading post. Both provinces have items to trade and the items are different in both provinces. But I never get an indication of trade or see an income?

    What am I doing wrong?

If you have a port, a trader, and a line of unbroken ships to allied or neutral provinces then you are trading. THe more provinces you reach the more the income. Look under your Economy list of provinces, hover the mouse over each one to see how much income via trade is being produced.

YOu can trade with neutral factions too. Press and hold v to see if the sea is blockaded. You would not want to see red.

We all learn from experience. Unfortunately we don't all learn as much as we should.
