Got the demo early

Be sure to give us your system specs and tell us how smooth it is at different resolutions. That is information that we ain't gonna get from CAS, IGN, Gamespy, etc.

Just played it. It comes with the battle of some river that starts with a t (Tribenia or somthing) and you play as hannibal. I found the controlls a bit lacking, and you need to get used to them but overall i thought it was ok. From what I saw of Decisive battoles the Graphics have to be better than what comes with the demo.

Also, I think that it runs smoothly on my decent computer (Del 4800, over a year old, pretty good specs, i don't know the exact specs though) I have only tried it on the default settings but I;ll try the rest out later. It looks promising to be honest. Though the Graphics set on default are pretty bad, and I gotta find a way to zoom (I am using a really old mouse so). The main problem I found was controlls.
First off the it's harder to move the camera around (you can't move and turn at the same time) and when you click on a unit, it begins to zoom in on the unit. Also, you have to use the right mouse button to give battlefeild commands (move, attack, etc.)

TCon88, from the looks in the new short movies at IGN, it looks like they are.
Now I don't know if those romans that got trampled upon by the elephants were just "wounded" or killed, but they kinda devastated the unit they passed through. Killed/wounded somewhere between a third and a half of that unit, and that was simply by walking stragith through it, not trampling around or making comebacks.
And I think there were only 8 elephants or so in that one...

In the demo you have 21 war elephants and 21 Armoured war elephants at the Trebia battle. I would really like to have seen the iberian infantry though

Are we sure that its 21 elephants? I have seen max 7 elephants in vids and screenshots but each elephant has a crew of 3...

Maybe it takes a lot to kill elephants if they can be killed at all heh. Thats good as we will have them running amok into your own troops if things go wrong..realism yum

Edit: ah and suddenly I understand some unmentionable screenshots I saw where the basic elephants where 1/3 size compared to the others. Only one man on the basic elephants...nice

I get what your saying now, i hope they are not really that hard to kill though, i want to see loads of those big carcasses on the field after i have battered them with my Legions!

I don't want them being annoying like when you would trap the swiss leader and his one SAP and he would take on your army and win!
