Torrentstorm is it a file share program

I went to there hompage and the description was a bit vague. It seems to me is how this works is a server acts as the hub and uses other computers with the same file to help with the transfer thus reducing traffic to the main server. Is this correct.

Well anyways I downloaded this unofficial demo and after the download was complete I noticed it kept uploading. So I'm guessing by keeping this open I'm also allowing someone to download this is this correct. If so I guess I will leave it open until tomorrow morning at least, but if not why is it still uploading?
