Income is still quite high
I've been playing for the last few hours with the latest posted Beta. It looks to me like the income is still high. I've never come within 10,000 gc of running short of money and build every expensive thing I can. There are still huge stacks of troops early on. I just faced invasions by 9,000; 7,000; and 5,000 Persians in three territories which I repulsed except for the 5,000 attacking a small garrison. The next turn came 24,000 Persians attacking a single territory. That's OK, I didn't feel like fighting that very long battle with my 1,000 hoplites at hand, so I abandoned the province to see what would happen next. Another 8,000 Persians landed there on the following turn...
This was not the Persian wars either.
