Hi folks,
I finished my Italian GA campaign the other night in 1453 with slightly over 2.5M florins in the bank. Just wondered what the highest amount anyone here's managed to collect is, and whether I'm still in the little league
.
Cheers,
Ulair

I've never got that high (but still had more than I could spend) but I think Katank has got more than 3 million.
Usually I do economic upgrades only if I've no other building to do. But in my current English campaign I've taken all the economic upgrades, kept my conquered provinces with minimal forces, and at 1194 I had half a million. I'm looking forward to another couple hundred years with loads of cash!![]()

4.2 million, playing as HRE, starting in early, hard, GA campaign.
got 2.5 million by start of high
didn't bother keeping going probably could manage 7-8 million by 1453
i've achieved about 2 million
it's fun to see the "Florins" get abbreviated to "Fl" in the treasury slot.
I've gotten 150 thousand by 1120 with Byz, but that game wasn't GA, so I accidentally beat it to soon to see how much I could get.Originally Posted by solypsist

Woops, didn't mean to quote...

once you get the world trade up and begin to show a steady dominance over the other factions, florins just flow in tens of thousands per year even with huge stacks of unused armies.
Byzantines about 7 or 8 million florins. Usually about 1280AD, and i have won.
always expert mode, English, got to 3.8Million around about 1234AD.
