Its on Pay-per-view atm, and with my long weekend off coming up........is it worth the 3 quid viewing price?

"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

The most realistic sailing epic ever. It has two of the greatest battle scenes ever ship on ship that I have ever seen. Unfortunaltly these occur at the beggining and end of the movie with a long but very interesting pause in between. Its more than worth watching. If you want to know what it was like to serve in the British Navy back then its a must see.
Fighting for Truth , Justice and the American way
Great movie, saw it in theaters (had to rob two banks to afford it, but that is another story).
Battle scenes are intense! Talking in between, less so.![]()
If you do not need gallons of blood to be visually stimulated, then you'll probably enjoy it.

I thought it was overly long and a little on the boring side.Originally Posted by Alexander the Pretty Good

I think all you conservatives who loved the movie so much really need to ask yourselves why you found it so engrossing...

Goofy, that's messed up!I liked it, and thought it was one of the better movies of the year. Of course I didn't see that many besides Lord of the Rings last year.... Anywho, yeah, you should see it.

Sigh. Goofball. Dude. We've talked 'n stuff. You're 'going page 3' on me, on page 1.![]()
Pay-per-view is what, $5? Worth that. As noted above, a little tedious between battles...maybe the film-makers were going for typical military duty: Looooong periods of humdrum, punctuated unpredictably by short periods of life-and-death struggle.
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.
Okay, I should have put more smiley faces around that. I really was just trying to get a laugh.Originally Posted by KukriKhan

Unfortunately, that doesn't come accross on a computer screen as well as in person...
My apologies to anybody who's latent urges I might have awakened.

Well I watched it and it was pretty enjoyable. Fewer Hollywood Cliche's than normal - not cliche free, but still fewer![]()
