Battle scenes are intense! Talking in between, less so.

If you do not need gallons of blood to be visually stimulated, then you'll probably enjoy it.

I thought it was overly long and a little on the boring side.

I also found it to be vaguely homoerotic. A bunch of muscular, shirtless men (and a few young boys) on a long ocean cruise, high leather boots, the discipline of the lash...

I think all you conservatives who loved the movie so much really need to ask yourselves why you found it so engrossing...

Goofy, that's messed up! I liked it, and thought it was one of the better movies of the year. Of course I didn't see that many besides Lord of the Rings last year.... Anywho, yeah, you should see it.

Sigh. Goofball. Dude. We've talked 'n stuff. You're 'going page 3' on me, on page 1.

Pay-per-view is what, $5? Worth that. As noted above, a little tedious between battles...maybe the film-makers were going for typical military duty: Looooong periods of humdrum, punctuated unpredictably by short periods of life-and-death struggle.
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.

Okay, I should have put more smiley faces around that. I really was just trying to get a laugh.

I said the same thing in person to a buddy of mine who is openly homophobic and he started to get really mad at me before he realized how hard I was trying to keep a straight face.

Unfortunately, that doesn't come accross on a computer screen as well as in person...

My apologies to anybody who's latent urges I might have awakened.

Great movie. Probably the most realistic movie dealing with the Age of Sail to date. Personally I didn't notice the "homoerotic" aspects of the movie, but I'm not a liberal. If you are the type that supports gays marriages, perhaps it may be a little "homoerotic." ~:p

A great film. I enjoyed every minute of it, from the broadsides to the cello and violin duets to the the banter in the mess.

The Lesser of the two weezils line was made even funnier by the fact that they had all had too much to drink, and were laughing like buffoons.

So that's why my nipples were hard during the movie. ;)

Well I watched it and it was pretty enjoyable. Fewer Hollywood Cliche's than normal - not cliche free, but still fewer

Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive.
