    Hi Leodegar

    AFAIK you are correct. The Ile de France bonus is only while dismounted whilst the Toulouse bonus is only while mounted.

    I want to ask why do I get units like Bllmen in Mercia ot Longbowmen in Wales with 3, 4 or 5 valour. Should not I get maximum 2 valour units if a have master level building and province bonus + 1 valour. Why is this happening i have and a church too, but i dont think this is the decision.I notice things like this in other provinces too. I get New units with 2, 3 or more valour without any reason.

    The Ile de France bonus for Chivalric Foot Knights and the Brandenburg bonus for Gothic Foot Knights only appear to come into effect for the occasional rare instance where those units appear as part of a rebellion. During my editing of campaign files I've come across no tracking of where a unit was built, so CKs from Ile de France should be treated like CKs from Normandy or Wessex or any other region, and so won't get a valour bonus for dismounting. I may be wrong, meaning there's a flag somewhere that I haven't found; I'll have to finally build a CK in Ile de France to check.

    The region bonuses for CFK & GFK are more likely to be holdovers from a pre-release version of MTW when you could build them as distinct units. Personally, I just mod them to be buildable and the problem is thus solved.


    Slyconqueror: Are those units appearing with a leader with Command 2+ or in a stack with a general with the same? Either will increase the effective Valour, and if the latter it can be easily demonstrated by removing the unit from the general's stack, you'll see the Valour drop to its true base value.

    Thanks for the info - I understood some provinces did not have an official "listing" in the game as to unit valor bonuses. Still, I knew of hidden bonuses, but wasn't sure where.
