Actually Im a Winger but i still like to get stuck in every now and again. Sometimes its the only way to stay warm!!!
You need a strong ref in rugby or the players will take advantage of him.

Oh yeah - I loved playing at inside centre - lots of action, tackling and u got to see the ball. The best ref I had was a woman - firm, fair n didnt take any sh1t from anyone. The worst was a ref who changed his mind about a decision - told everyone that he was weak and the game nearly dissolved in to a slugfest; didnt help we were playing our local rivals. u know the type of game; the club that u love to hate ha ha ha

Yeah had a few refs do the change decision thing, it ruins the game because everyone argues every call after that.

Yep the best thing a ref can do if he makes a bad call is stick to it and if anyone argues march them back 10 until they shut up. They wont do it agian.
Thats what is good about rugby, players have to respect the ref because being marched 10 yards back is a signifcant penalty for team so the players just have to shut up and get on with the game, unlike in football where you see Roy Keane screaming in the refs face when he makes a decision he doesnt like!
