Yep.... He pulled a similar stunt at Silverstone Personally I would invite him to join in the spirit of the games and give him a try at the diving. Wearing a concrete collar of course

I find it very sad that someone could do that to an athelete chasing his dream and not see a problem with it. If he wants to dance and run on a racing car track, fine, he is only going to fundementally hurt himself. But to do that to someone in 1st place in an olympic marathon, having the athelete no doubt put countless miles of running into preparation, is just mind boggling. Very sad.
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

Thumbs up Re: The marathon antics

    I agree with JAG.

Had to say it because it is a rare event nowadays.

As an American distance runner, I first have to say GO MEB! That and the women's bronze might help revitalize the sorry state of distance running in the US. Those antics made me want to pin the guy against the wall and bash his head in with a nightstick. The feeling that I get when watching a marathon or 5K worldclass is the equivalent that many get when watching the baseball world series or Super Bowl. For that asshole to do that makes me . Oh well, the big EL G won two, so that makes me happy. Anyone who holds the world record for 5k deserves one.

Did anyone see in today's papers he's on bail awaiting trial for child abuse?
