Nerouin, you do the same fix for all of the battles.
Nerouin, and after you get the fix you go play Seki on expert level with no patches or funny stuff, you hear, because it can be done. It takes some real fine tuning and hair-raising maneuvers, I sweated on it for hours, I was so proud when I first succeeded.
The clue is in the woods in the far right corner, way in the background when you first muster your line of battle. There are two separate woods, in fact, and I'm talking about the one farthest away. Immediately upon start of battle you withdraw your daimyo and YS to those woods, sacrificing your two NS units along the way to keep the enemy cavalry at bay, and ordering your hidden YS to report there asap as well. Once you there, put them in square formation. The enemy cavalry can't really fight you in the woods, they'll come at you anyway and as long as you stay between those trees you're golden. Their YS are a bunch of losers and Ieyasu's horsemen will see off the last of their withering horse units. Go Nerouin.
The bloody trouble is we are only alive when we’re half dead trying to get a paragraph right. - Paul Scott
Hey, this is great. I didn't realize someone had figured out a fix. Wonder if we have a patched set of files around here somewhere that we could put on the .org to fix this? I might have to play with this a bit.
Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.
