    Default Zoom fun

Just a note to say, I spent my play time (not much, school started!) this evening getting down at eye level and watching the action.

Wow. This is some really stunning stuff. It may seem like eye candy to the campaign map'ers but the raw power of a cavalry charge is just stunning when you get down on the troop's level and watch them get closer, and closer, then WHAM! Horses leaping, troops scurrying for cover, utter chaos... it's an educational experience, worth giving a try to, even if you only do it on a basic eight- or twelve-unit battle.

It is also entertaining to zoom in while the units are standing in formation waiting. They cought, spit, stretch their legs, look around. You name it, they do it.

I'll bet the skins get very interesting in a hurry... How long can it be before we see Beavis and Butthead up in the elephant towers?
    Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.

Its crazy fun to watch those elephants charge at eye level, and the sacred band taking on a charge is pretty cool too.
