What a determination!
It is unthinkable what some people will do to get them to media
This one is a killer:
"I get excited if I split my pants or a button pops open."

RIP Tosa
Can't say she isn't ambitious
Surely this is a mental illness.
Its about as responsible as showing an anorexic patient trying to get to 6 pounds.
Doing this on purpose should it void the communities responsibility to pay for her social welfare and medical bills?
Other then going to a mental hospital that is...
If this woman truly believes her behavior is reasonable, then she does qualify for therapy. Obviously she is playing this to the media in hopes of getting more "lucrative" coverage on tv talk programs, like Opra, in order to cash in on the only talent she feels she has, getting morbidly obese. How very sad.
Refusing to insure her except at astronomical rates, in my opinion is justified.

Just shoot her and get it over with. Disabilty my arse, she aint gettin any of my money. If she wants to kill herself, let's help her on her way *pulls a remmington shotgun out of nowhere*

Why do you hate Freedom?
The US is marching backward to the values of Michael Stivic.
It is clearly a mental health problem, and the fact that some of you would rather ridicule, threaten to shoot her and threaten to cut benefits speaks volumes about yourselves far more than this does about her. How can you justify ending someone's basic rights in society just because they have a mental disease? It is like stopping all benefits and help to depressed people purely because 'they may try and kill themselves, sow hat's the point', VERY sad.
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

You're right Capo. We should shoot all fat people. And people with limps. And people who lisp. And people who have the flu. Yeah, I know, none of those people can help it, but hey, they're annoying and awkward to be around.Originally Posted by Caporegime1984

Capo, you may want to get a copy of Mens Health and start getting healthier... you will find that a healthy body will get you a far healthier outlook on life... and by getting out there and getting fit, making something of yourself by yourself... you will be a model conservative.Originally Posted by Caporegime1984
Throwing money at someone who has diminished capacity due to a mental illness is not a smart solution. Just giving her money will mean she will spend it on food that she does not need and in fact is doing her massive harm.Originally Posted by JAG
Having someone else look after her such as power of attorney to the more extreme mental hospital are better alternatives in my opinion.
Neither do I think she should be shoot. I don't even think she is mentally ill at least not seriously. I'd rather say she is a product of the society she was born and lives in.
Someone mentioned Oprah? Yes, and take reality shows where people do what they actually do. Think of how media attract their audience - by presenting 'outrageous' or 'abnormal' stuff. Or Jackass! (isn't that what the programme is called?)
Come think of it. What makes us interested? Us, I mean, the society so don't give me the crap about going to the theatre once a week to entertain yourselvels. Most people watch TV/surf internet.
Our lives may just be filled up with a silly sense of a cheap sensation.
Don't get me wrong. Perhaps the suicide rate would be 20 times higher if we didn't have all the 'silly' stuff to talk about and, instead, were forced to think of the ultimate sense of living.
