How much do you play mods? Which one is your favorite?

I was wandering do the TW players play mods and if yes how much. Personally I play them 2-3 times more then the original game. Some of the modes are I would say as good as the original game. Which is your favorite mod?

I hope that this poll will show CA that mods add a lot of value to their TW games and that their decision to make the RTW less moddable is not a right marketing decision.

Since the demo came out I have been playing it almost exclusively. After ModRome and RodeO came out, I switched to playing mods only. Mostly to get a leg up on the full release when it comes out. I have abandoned an interesting Hungarian MTW campaign. THe only MTW I see myself playing now would be continuing a PBM game.

As for modding, I don't know where you got the idea that RTW is less moddable than MTW. The demo alone is plenty moddable (replayability of the modded demo beats that of some full release games in my opinion!). All magazine reviews say that RTW is supposed to be moddable.

i have not played even one mod ... i just cant stand playing on such a poorly optimised game, and really hope its sorted before release

I love mods... once I get one, I don't go back to original, since it's worse. Less units, less factions, less fun.

On line I played NTW a lot, played in the league which I enjoyed (I was undefeated), but it seems to have stalled (the league)...HTW online only a little but only because too few seem to be playing it. I was impressed with both; NTW is a game totally different form STW/MTW/VI: I was impressed with how much skill matters in NTW verses VI, By comparison VI is like a coin toss (little skilled need to win half the time) HTW is more like traditional STW/MTW/VI, but the units are beautifully crafted. These two games show that C.A. did not even come close to pushing the limits of the total war engine.

I have mods of NTW and Medmod. NTW is a different genre, but done quite well given the constraints. The Medmod is superior to the original game. It has refined many aspects that should have been handled by the TW men.
