MIDDLE EARTH TOTAL WAR. What is the current progress of it!

Can anybody tell me what the status is on the Middle Earth total war mod for MTW. I really want to play it.

Rome Total War is coming out and LOTR: Battles for Middle Earth is on the horizon. Do you think this mod will have its chance?

This mod better come out early or it would be entirely shadowed by the bigger games.

Once RTW comes out, I guess a lot of people would uninstall MTW. And when Battles for Middle Earth releases, players would be more focused on a professionally made game.

I love LOTR and I love the way people are modding it, however, this the truth.

I wouldn't put my money of BFME. That game seems like a one trick pony, if that even, designed to draw in the movie crowd, and all the people who say "ooh! ahh!" when they see a troll swinging a tree (no matter how overplayed it is). I give the game 3 months before the novelty wears off. Graphics can only last so long, before people get sick of them and hunger for more, whereas good gameplay can carry over for years (look what Shogun did for the TW series).

As for R:TW, there will be people who don't buy it initially, there will be people who don't buy it at all, there will be people who buy it and play it, but will also play Medieval - there will even be people who buy it and don't play it. Needless to say, there will still be many people playing Medieval, and this will cater for them. I know I won't buy Rome initially, because my money's very tight right now (not to mention exams looming around the corner ), so I'll still be playing Medieval for at least another 2 months.

My my, aren't we jumpy to get "out with the old and in with the new" .

I'd rather play a LOTR game based on the STW/MTW engine. I've thought this since Shogun. It's perfect for it.
