First of all, I would like to thank Frogbeastegg, Bushface, and Katank for their invaluable guides and downloads.
I started a Turkish campaign after reading Katank's blitz strategy. It is now 1150 A.D. and I control most of the provinces east of Constantinople. My Sultan is crappy and the zeal of most of my provinces is low (under 20%). However, most of the population of these provinces is Muslim.
Is it possible to guarantee that the citadel in Constantinople not get reduced to a castle when it is conquered?
How do I increase the zeal in my provinces? I have tried using alims, but this did not seem to help and, in some cases, actually lowered zeal.
Is there any real value to building Ghulam Cavalry?
During a battle, is it possible to keep my army in the formation I put it in (archer units, cavalry, and swordsmen in double rows, spears in rows of four)? Every time I move them, they get all jumbled up and even shift out of the individual unit formations I put them in.
Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.
