    Hello MongolWarrior,

It's been a long while since I played those, I vaguely recall something about landing on the beach right?

Some general tip may be of help. The Mongols have better cavalry compared to the Japanese. The Korean infantry on the other hand is inferior (though some can be very nasty). Their morale is pretty low and they can be compared to Japanese Ashigaru when they run. Korean Skirmishers are actually Korean Holders (much more effective then), put them on hold formation and postion and at fire at will. Place them in the front line and spears and guards behind and at their flanks. Also have your General (MHC there?) with them to boost morale a bit. You can group them together. Keep this body out of harms way for a while.

You have some Heavy Cavalry. Make them a second group and also keep them out of the conflict.

The third group is your light cavalry. They are fast, highly annoying and can deal a nasty sting, both ranged and close combat. These are going to do the first actions. Swarm around the Japanese, let them walk, shoot them, take down routers, charge isolated missiles, but avoid direct 1 on 1 close combat with the stronger Japanese units and missile duels with many Japanese bows.

Really tire the Japanese down and destroy/disrupt their units. You can try to drag Japanese cavalry to your waiting MHC and butcher them. After a while (7-15 minutes) you advance the infantry group and heavy cavalry. The infantry advances head on, and the cavalry attacks the flanks and back. Also use the light cavalry in close combat (their speed makes them great to cut down routers).

I hope this is of help?

In that battle I suggest moving everyone rapidly to the high ground on your right flank (occupied by only a couple of Japanese units.) I sent spearmen or guardsmen to hold the yari sams on that side, while using the Mongol Heavy Cav to crush the no-dachi. And mounted archers to chase down the archers there. Crush those units rapidly and turn to face the others. That will force the rest of the Japanese to come to you on high ground better suited for your men. You do not want to stay on the beach! Rule one of invasions: get off the beach quickly.

There is a problem with the final battle in the campaign (Mt. Fuji.) You will have to modify the .adf files to get it to run to completion. There is info on how to do the mods in a recent thread.

    That's good advice Red Harvest,

The Korean Infantry will certainly need that advantage. You can use the MLC to keep the left side of the Japanese army occupied while you move to the right. A trick AI and even human players fall for is to tease with your general if necessary (it's MHC?), you don't want to end up sandwiched.
