That still allows for a maximum of 48,000 soldiers on the battlefield at once with 8 players. I shudder when I think of how most computers would run that. We didn't have any problems dealing with the reduced scale of the MTW armies and I think this allows almost 4x that number (if I am remembering correctly). Some day we will have boxes that allow us realtime simulation of multi-million man battles from WW1 & WW2, but for now I think this is a decent step.
