Erm.. which one is Cannae again? I recongnize the name, but I can't think of the importance, or even who fought.

Hannibal's battles with Rome goes from Trebia-Trasimene-Cannae-Zama. Cannae is the battle that set the stage for almost every commander since. Some argue it has been the most important ancient battle in the tactical sense. Hannibal took him vastly outnumbered army and fought on terrain fitting his enemy and basically wiped them out. 50,000 Romans and allies. That is why it should be included.

And why are there so many stinking Roman ones?

Does Rome: Total War ring a bell?
Besides, it seems the first faction is the one we will play, so in fact there are only 5 Roman battles.
