20-30 Min Battle

Hi all
Guys rember when it was said that the Battles are a bit to fast,well i played yesterday on Hard ...not the hardest mind just on hard and the battle lasted for 20-30 Min...they won the battle but only after there was a fight in the River..then i retreaded back on to the far bank where there was another battle ..it was great fun lads...then just when i thought i could turn the Battle a roman spear unit came dow off the hill and finished my guys off....wow it was awsome

Who said battles are fast? I have fought a couple battles that have lasted over an hour. As a matter of fact, one battle i fought was an 11,000 vs 3,000 man battle.... and guess what, I was the one with the 3,000 man army. That battle lasted at least an hour and a half. I lost, but only after killing off 4,000 of the enemy's troops and losing only bout 1,000 of mine. Good stuff

yes, fighting the golden horde (15000) with my 4000 russians
was one of the few battles at this size which i fought manually
can t say how long it was, surely more than 3 hours
(i won this battle - but it was very hard - i played at expert-level)

Yes, I've had many, many 30 minute battles with RomeMOD, several over 30 when there are large armies involved. My favourite so far was loading up the Senate on defence with 20 units, loading up the Carthaginians and Gauls with 14 units each on attack, and I gave myself four cavalry units, on General-Only Cam on defence along with the Senate.

Long-lasting, and great great fun.
