New UK RELEASE date!

Well there has apparantley been a change in the UK release date, to Sept 24th, a guy from TWC had rang Activsion and thats what they said

Hope this is true for you folks on the other side of the pond. It would be an astute move by them to make the release/availability dates the same. It should cut down on piracy, and that is a plus to all of us.

It's very confusing. Game here have been advertising it for ages as towards the end of sept and had the 24th on their posters.

Yep.............although it is on the .COM site as being oct1 for UK release,my good buddy who owns his own Gamers shop is still insisting to me that he will be placing the game in my greedy hands on sept 24th or he will eat the cover case.

Well iv emailed the UK biggest game retailer GAME and hopefully i get a reply back by wensaday (24th) if not im going down there to see for my self.

Rome: Total WarTM has been released to manufacturing and will be shipping to retailers in North America on Wednesday, September 22. The game will be shipping to retailers in the United Kingdom on Wednesday, September 29 (and should be on sale around the 1st of October). Other release dates will be announced soon.

The thread at TWCenter is old news from before the weekend. We've had nothing definite since Siblesz on the 16th.

There are signs pointing to both 24th Sep & 1st Oct, though sadly more to the latter. Since the 24th is my birthday and I've taken the day off work in anticipation, I'd like to believe it's the day, though if I had to bet I'd say 1st Oct is a 2:1 favourite. In fact, I'm about to order Galactic Civilizations from Amazon so I've something to play on Friday just in case.

I'm gonna go by that rather than rumour - especially since that's where O've pre-ordered it

One the Games Warehouse Site, (www.gameswarehouse.com.au), they are showing a release date of 24th of September. Don't know how accurate that is, but we can hope. :)

Games are almost always released on a Friday in this country. So I expect a 1st Oct release date. Everything else is probably wishful thinking.
