    Yes I do actually. Does that mean i should unload service pack 2? Its just that it sounds like a different problem, it doesn't even get that far in the installation that smoogs got too. Thanks for your help!!!

    Well someone else is trying it after uninstalling SP2, hopefully done soon. If that works you should try too.

    Update: well he could install but seems to have problem trying to start up the game is it wont recognise the cd. Might as well try to uninstall sp2 and see if it works for you.

    The problem with alcohol can be fixed by no-cd cracking games, don't worry about that.

    yep. got it. i wasnt going to make a special trip to get it, but you guys got me hyped up, so, oh well :) besides, tosa and the moderators (sounds like a 50's lounge act, 'Tosa and the Moderators Musical Extravaganza' Now playing at the Pennyrile Parkway expressway Holiday Inn, exit 247. 3 nights only, limited admission (tickets at the door) ), would have disowned me or given me tehban! if i hadnt :)

    Right before I went to the store I realized my hardrive needed a defrag. Well I've have it at home for 2 hours and finally the defrag is complete damm 7 year old hardrive.

    Well anyways that was foolish of me to read the manual then watch TV, because I could have installed the rct3 demo the store gave me on to my wifes computer and maybe played it. As it is now my wifes gonna get home and ask me to install it while I'm playing RTW probably right in the middle of a battle too

    Yeah - I was into the Tutorial and decided to play until I had seiged two cities before quitting - it CTDed right before I attacked the second city. I was rather upset about that until I realized that it autosaves every turn. For that I thank CA.

    Just got it over lunch at Fry's for $39.95. Full day at work unfortunately and my son has a baseball game this evening. But once everyone is tucked into bed, I'm going to install and play Ceasar all night long. Going to be a late one tonight.

    Ive heard from ppl before when they bought a game and couldnt install cause of the protection the game was having, i just hope the problems with RTW are not something like that.

    I got it this afternoon, most details set to high and it runs fine. WinXP Service Pack 2, no problem installing.

    Athlon 2.6mhz processor
    512 mb ram
    Radeon 8500

    P.S.
    How do I get a screen capture in my post? I have SnagIt, a capture program, but I don't know how to put it in my post...

    You can't attach it, so you need to have it hosted somewhere. then you can either link to it or use [img*]url[/img*]. Without the stars of course.
    Maybe in another forum you can attach something, but the mods know more things about the settings
