Default So, has anyone been brave yet?

And tried playing with the battle view limited to the general?

I haven't yet, but I'm tempted to try.

Tried it on the demo. Good idea but it is nearly impossible to command

Haven't done that in campaign mode yet, have done it in custom. Makes life VERY difficult with terrain figured in... you can only order units to move to line-of-sight locations, which is a major limiting factor.

One thing I have done a lot of is do all battles non-pause. At first battles seem hectic and wild -- being used to the technical maneuvering of MTW the Roman way (fight till you're tired, then have a group relieve you) seems completely insane. But it works, and works well, and pause isn't needed.

I seldom paused in STW/MTW and now that is becoming true for RTW. I don't like pause and the more you play without it the better you get.

I NEVER pause. But I do take a very long time to get my intial set-up the way I want it.
