Anyone used their legionaries this way yet. I enabled them to fire at will and they threw their pilums in the faces of their enemies before drawing their gladius to do their meat grinder stuff!!!

When I'm trying to minimize casualties, I just put them on fire at will and let them use up all their pilums first before charging. Not a good idea against a large force though since they'll countercharge before you use up all your pila.
