    anyone have any idea what the hck this thing does?

    the building description says it trains better officials. What I think it does is produce a passive improvement on the Management and maybe General stats of the governor. Idealy it would train governors, but I think it just improves the stats of the current governor over time. I haven't built it yet though.

    i built it in sparta, pressed end turn, checked the province stats.

    reloaded and ended turn without the academy (was 3rd round of the build). I ended up with MORE gold (or actually, less of a deficit) without the academy.

    Go figure...

    (Note that i didn't have a gov in sparta, however)

    I think it increase the chances of the governor of the city getting learned individuals in their retinue. I seem to be getting more as I built one.
