Playing 1st campaign as Scipii I was ordered by the senate to get some map information off the Macedonians - simple enough? Except they would not give me any. 8 turns in a row and nothing. Odd thing was they kept offering me denarii for my map information instead of giving me theirs. I offered money for theirs they rejected.
I must have got like 5,000 denarii off them - best I got them too was 1,390 in one turn before they told me where to stick it.
I then tried this with the Spanish and they offered me 550 per turn for 4 years for my map information but would not give me theirs in return. I stopped asking for map information as I thought it was a cheesy way of making money but I wanted to know why AI proteted its map information so closely and was so willing to pay so much for mine - does not seem very important to me???
Anyway else experience this?
