1st October is the generally assumed release for RTW, has been for a while now. Where have you been?

I preordered my copy from Game (well it was formerly Electronics Boutique til they changed the sign above the door a while back), anyways they told me that it was the 1st October.

Now I know from past experience that UK Games releases tend to favor fridays, so if it wasn't going to be the 24th it was always going to be the 1st.

In the meantime we have to put up with the taunting from across the atlantic for a week...

This could be a blessing in disguise, given the number of problems the Americans have been reporting - and that is just trying to install it (see the RTW tech support forum at the .com.).

At least the rest of us will get the benefit of a week in which most of the major bugs will have been reported, and work arounds hopefully found.

i'm in Adelaide and the local game shops has it already this am, I've just done my electric order and will pick it up this pm if everything happens as planned. I think this time CA did have a spontenous release. well done!

The online-shop where I preordered my english version (should be the UK one) changed yesterday the release date to 30.9. . So maybe I will get it earlier here in Germany than you in UK?

IIRC germany gets it earlier than the uk anyway. (think it says this on the official site)

Yes the german version is scheduled for 29.9. but also the english version is one day earlier than in UK (30.9. for germany 1.10. for UK). The US version is scheduled for 27.9. (at least in germany).

As you are getting it the earliest in europe, i would like to get it from germany.

Sorry for answering this late couldn't get online the weekend.

There is an german online shop (okaysoft.de) where you can buy us and uk version. But thanks to the silly laws you have to provide a copy of your identity card to prove that you are over 18 years. Because all foreign computer game versions are rated automatically over 18.
So if your are not from germany it could get difficult. But you should ask the guys from okaysoft.de. They are really nice and helpful.
