Hoplites kick butt

Anyone else try the Greeks yet? Those hoplites are a ton of fun to use. As long as you keep them in phalanx and guard the flanks, they seem to be unstoppable. :O

I agree. While i havnt unlocked greeks yet (playing julii) i have hired hoplites. They are cool!

Yeah I'm Julii as well - I want to play as the Greek Cities next.

But if your deployment zone is in the woods you are hurting. I remember I had 500 men with 500 reenforcements and knew I was against a strong phalanx army. Well original plan was to deploy in the back of the zone wait to group up and then take them on. Well seeing woods right in front of me I took full advantage and deploye forward and charged right away. I barely got into the woods to engage them. Well anyways the phalanxes got destroyed.
