I let a 34 year old general marry a 13 year old daughter in my family. He's a decent fellow and a good general to boot so what's the fuss?

FYI, in the modern world December-May marriages are not as uncommon as you think, especially outside the western world. In the ancient world an older man marrying a much younger woman was fairly common and nothing to go bats--t about. Back then it was extremely common for people to get married when they were in their mid teens.
